copper had a terrible london open, gapped down aggressively. i was shorting the aud / usd. little jobbing trades 35 pips and then another for 15. anyway you stuck with your plan and you cut. that is really the key.

euro yen better for the risk aversion trade. usually usd / jpy is a bit static as US treasuries are also a classic safe haven. euro barely moving either though.

have to respect a man who isn't afraid to tell the world what is in his account and that he has topped it up. you are rolling with some rude leverage though dude. watch out the markets doesn't come all over you.

in times past if iron ore dropped 10% in a single session and copper around 10% in 3 days i would have expected to see daily falls on the AUD of between 1 to 2%. so maybe 5% from the high, back down to 87 maybe, possibly even mirror the panic ...

my account is pretty skint. i was short since monday at 9055 and left a TP order at 9015 last night when going to bed. looked like bottom of range and market was dead. trading with no money in the account sucks but at least it makes you disciplined. ...

yes without a doubt i agree with you here. domestic defaults in China are terrible terrible news for us. the question you ask about the potential for 2008 being repeated is why the market has been so spooked and cu and iron have collapsed. my point ...

afraid that is not correct - not trying to sound all high and mighty just explaining the reality of metals trading. Customers do indeed open a letter of credit for 100% of the cargo value. i receive a customer LC, we arrange pricing, i hedge on the ...

i can understand your logic. i think the AUD should go lower however it isn't. overseas investors still seem keen on the only AAA rated economy with a yield. given the weakness in metals, iron ore and Chinese domestic data, apart from the US ...
