Very difficult to do, but probably the way to go. I am amazed how often when testing that price will repeatedly come back to test the trade entry area before going to target. It seems the smart money knows where stops will be and when they will have ...

Thanks for making this available. I've played around with this type of sim. before, but it is nice to have someone create a simplified one. It is a good reality check after reading too many boastful trade examples (and always posted with hindsight) ...

Hello Alfonso, Looks to be a great thread among many SD threads. I like your rules based methodology, it helps to simplify things. I have just started on the thread and am trying to set up Forex Tester 2. Your indicators are fine on MT4, but I see ...

Absolutely! Please don't think I am questioning your integrity. There are plenty of others trolling around FF that will do that. I understand your predicament. Thanks for clarifying. I'm just starting on my study of this methodology so it is useful ...

For clarification, are you saying an area that appears to be SD may just be a reaction to an area some way back, and therefore is best ignored (all though it may still cause a reaction) ?

Look under his profile Winston, he has a trade explorer listed there. I think your method will have more longevity.

Don't get hung up on a fixed R:R. The concept goes out the window as soon as you move your stop or target anyway. Think about it dynamically once your trade is in progress. If the market has put a brick wall just in front of your target, revise your ...

Well done. The important bit is this : "backtested for 30 mths" which gives you the confidence to do this: "just entered and set stops and tp" resulting in this: "perfect results"

Have a look at post 348 (although stats. may have changed since then). His method is set and forget. Stop at multiple of gap (plus spread), target at gap close. Purely mechanical, no management, relies on the stats.

I guess Tom was trying out his French. I expect he meant "no taper" Search for that and you will be more successful. I think what he is getting at is that the "unexpected" news that a taper would not yet be put into effect caused a strong and sharp ...
