The pattern will still be valid, however you will need to perform bar-to-bar anaylse to determine where the strength sits.

Your stoploss will be above the top of the main swing. Where you placed your SL, price did not make a 38.2 retracement.

Hi Bruin, I agree with you on your understand of the yellow line being the main swing. point B would be the immediate main swing. If you decide to place a short trade the stop loss will be above point B. Hope this helps.
