Rotation candle for sure i think. Anything that closes more than half way through previous candle. Its all about where its happening not so much the single candle

You did the right thing i think. But also look to the larger swing as well so that things dont catch you off guard. You had some opportunities to go long and make a profit as well. The market to me just looked bearish in the longer term.
