Apart from the obvious factor- leverage. Trading currencies has benefits such as relatively low beginning-capital requirement, transparency, and the fact that currency trading market will never end.

Yes, I completely agree. Not to mention, trainers who want to sell courses and people who want to make commission by trading on someone's part. There are is a fine line between marketing and scamming. New traders often fail to see the distinction.

True, TA does work. Support and resistance, trendlines head & shoulder patterns, and other basic concepts, if used correctly, can prove to be useful.

That depends on your trading style and strategy. If you are scalping you are making multiple trades in a day over very short time-frames. If you are day trading you can keep your trade open for even 24 hours. It all depends on you.

Wouldn't the term "professional trader" mean someone who is trading full time? Trading is their job and a lot of people are bad at what they do. "Successful trader" would mean someone who is a profitable trader even if they don't trade full time.

True, the misuse of leverage. High leverage isn't bad in itself as long as you are aware of the risk involved and make your trading decisions with that knowledge.
