aser, what if you were using a trix indicator, and it went above zero, and you made the trade, and within a few minutes, it went below zero? Would you call that a repaint? What if you waited awhile....let's say three 5 minute time frames, and the ...

OK. I'll bite. What's the Ozz setup. I agree that just posting a chart showing a trend up or down with all the pips that could have been made is not beneficial. I don't think you can just use the trix on this to make consistent gains. There needs to ...

Johnny, I didn't mean to imply that you were responsible. I think it's great you started a room, and it sounds like you'll be helping others make better trades. I might want to check into using Renkos myself at some point. I was only making a ...

From over a hundred a week ago to the teens now. I guess that's what happens when the thread veers off course. Everyone has their own ideas as to how to trade and what indicators to use and it infiltrates the blog. I'm not saying that's a bad thing. ...

You get three bars blue. By that time the pair has gone up a bit. Presumably, you confirm you're trading in the direction of the overall trend. You make the trade at the close of the third bar & set a TP of X. I've looked at this on a one minute ...

Fudomyo, this is where I'm havfing some difficulties understanding what, if any difference there is between this Voricity indicator and using perhaps a combination of a moving average cross and a Trix, CCI or stochastic. Either one or all of these ...

I've read all the posts from many knowledgable traders about the repainting indicators, which change two or more bars back. As someone not being a full time trader, but one who would like to be, I have a question as to specific reason(s) why the ...

Trying to keep it simple, I made a chart similar to Edgetraders and got ten pips, and even on a late entry. I missed out on 10 more at the third vertical bar as I was away. AND, this is even at a bad time to trade.

Gleneagles, you're right there, and it has to do simply with the way humans are. There is no way to stop what happens to every thread on FF unless you change human nature. The nasty and in your face comments take up thread space. I simply overlook ...

Your recommendation then is that the Vorticity indicator shopuld not be used. That's cool. Most here, I think, would defer to your professional trading knowledge. If they didn't, well. I don't know what to say. Are you OK with the fxfariz technique ...

The PDF says to trade only after 2:00 AM New York time. What time zone are you in? What times do you trade this, and do you have any idea wheter or not it works just as well in the early New Yoork session at about 5;00 AM?

Robby, I just came across this thread. I like the concept. Will give it a whirl this week and see how it goes.

I think Tudor Girl said that the Vorticity could repaint two bars prior to the one you're on. When that third bar you're looking at closes the same color as the prior two, an entry can be made based on the three bars being either red or blue. If I ...

Quantum, I saw the same thing that you're mentioning in this post on my chart using the same indicators. I've been trading the 5 minute on a small live account, and can't match the success of some others here. There's really no way to back on a ...

Sorry to say, the combined TG and Vorticity indicator doesn't work. Giving false signals on all time frames. But, thanks for the attempt. Would be nice to have an arrow indicator that matches these two indicators.

Too many false signals on the one minute for sure. I haven't had a new signal on the GBP or EUR/USD for quite some time, so perhaps this indi works reasonably well on the 5 minute. I'll keep my charts open with these indicators on them for the 5 ...

Using the combination indicator called TM and Vorticity signal on a one minute chart to see what happens when a chart is closed and then re-opened, I find that the re-opened chart is, in fact, optimized. This means that if you load this indicator ...

The TMandVorticity arrows are VERY small, but if you have the indicator on your chart, the arrows are there. You can make them larger if you likje, which is what I did. Am testing it on the GBP and EUR/USD to see if it works. I was somewhat ...

That's been my trading in the last few days. My left eyeball indicator said sell, and my right eye indicator said buy. My nose said the trades stunk, but I took them anyway. Time to bring out the crystal ball indicator.
