I have not been a big fan of fibos but Hugh has explained and shown us how to use them. I start demoing this Mon. a.m. I only trade the NY session and I think the gbp/usd will offer the "smoothest" trends, I'll see. If anyone has a better suggestion ...

Is the 7th bar to the left, a pin bar, a #2 type entry? I don't have a good handle on that yet.

Post #703 tested on the 4H TF & using a 13sma (close I'm sure) but my question is: would you use the same sma trading the 1H? Not doing so hot this week, my account is the lowest it has been all year so I'm missing some good setups. But I can only ...

I read an article on fibs, DailyFX I think, and the writer said that the proper use (his opinion?) of fibs is to see where the % lines join with S&R levels - double confirmation. A 50% level is just a line but if it confirms a previous S/R level it ...

I took a small loss on the E/$ as I forgot to deduct the spread on a sell order and the E/G SL was hit. Hopefully tomorrow is better and I may go with the 1H TF instead of 4H.

E/$ — I guess I don't handle the early a.m. hours very well; I changed my Sell Stop on this pair to a sell order and got a few extra pips as the pairhad pulled back. Currently I have my stop at BE+1 - 1.3203 & moved my TP to S1 - 1.3264. My ...

I'M in this one too, sold @ 1.3187. Also sold the eur/gbp @ .8321. Just using micro lots as yesterday didn't provide a very clear picture of the markets. edit: Sorry, it is a bit early for this old guy - I have a sell stop @1.3187 E/$ which hasn't ...

Thank you. I have strayed a bit in my trading and paid the penalty. I don't know why I quit trading this strategy; I have had success on the 1H & 4H so here I am again! Will take a look at the channel and see if it helps or hurts my entries. p.

Hugh - Have you ever tried HA smoothed? I wonder if a trend change ie color change would be as prompt as regular HA. And i don't see many posted charts using the channel - channel doesn't work? Comments from anyone please. p.

If your broker's 4H close is a 2pm my local time but my broker's close is at 4pm then that is where the difference is. And note, this is my local time closes. Hope that helps, p.

GBP/USD — I have a sell top order @ 1.5646. I never trade the daily but it looks good per rule #1 although the entry is near S3 which could be a problem. A 1:1 r/r with a 188 pip SL & TP. I'm a lttle nervous about this and will see what it ...

IMO this strategy will keep us out of losing streaks because we only trade with the trend. Yes, there will be losses because of a too-tight SL, trend reversal, news, etc. but they should be one time losses and not a streak. Less trade opportunities ...
