May be a long wait looking at current PA... it may happen today, or not happen in a few months.

Hi Shahab, one question about your TP if I may. The way I see things, until NY session today we had a strong bullish trend, and we reached key technical levels across many pairs. If today signifies trend reversal, then we should head much lower than ...

Long consolidation in tight ranges yesterday and today. I guess a big move is being prepared. Would be great to see another bull run to 1.35 before inevitable drop, but 1.33 won't be easy to break I think.

Closed this position manually at loss. Clearly my short-term analysis was wrong, and we now aim back at 1.33 and possibly higher. I continue to be bearish longer-term. I also don't buy all the trade deal optimism; the deal will probably be concluded ...

I would like to see an experiment where Bloomberg posts a tweet/article every few hours saying the deal is imminent. How far the bots will be able to take it?

What's funny about this particular spike, it is caused by a Bloomberg tweet that refers to the Bloomberg article that was released much earlier (and caused its own spike at that time).

I think what is meant here is: Deal concluded => GU up. After that, markets realise deal is bad => GU down. I hold similar view, with some modifications. 1) I think we will have another leg down before a deal is reached. It looks as if this week's ...

Yes, this is important news, and after Biden win a deal is very likely. I just don't think it will happen next week, although progress can be made towards the deal.

The thing is, it does not make that much difference anymore whether there is a deal or not. Brexit will be very disruptive either way, especially for the City and for export/import. [I am not even sure we won't see empty shelves in supermarkets as ...

If there is a deal, it would be the easiest sell in the world. But I can't see a deal next week, maybe a bit later.

I sold at 1.3169, sl 75 pips, tp much lower. Technically (short-term), I think 1.318-1.322 zone is difficult to break; I hope it holds. Technically (longer-term), 1.33 was the target tor the bulls, and it was achieved. If 1.35 is not in play, there ...

I agree. NFP/BOE/Fed announcements have similar dynamics.

Not a coincidence at all, of course. The market wants to sell from high.

So, technical targets of 1.19+epsilon, 1.32+epsilon, 30,000+epsilon for EU/GU/Dow were reached, and when everyone decided long is the safest bet in town, retreat followed. Market can of course do anything, but after a week of buying frenzy ...

Bad news => stocks go up on stimulus / low rates expectation. Good news => stocks go up on business optimism. I guess this may be shortened to news => stocks go up. [I personally think equity indices will have to break down with vengeance, but it is ...

By the way, when shorting GU, one should be careful with what BOJ may do. UJ broke long-term support at 104, I don't know if they would tolerate further decline. url
