There are many types of tests. A SO is one of them or to be more precise, a test can also be a SO

Quite right thanks for that. Sorry inks, I had meant to include this link in my previous post. You will find that some traders make testing far more complicated than it needs to be. If you stick with the basic test you wont go far wrong.

Just for interest sakes. With those figures and a risk of 10% per trade(which is unadviseable for most of course) your expected winings per trade 3.3% which equates to 6.5% - 10% depending on 2 or 3 trades per week. The draw down might get you tho. ...

Your bars dont open at the close price of the previous bar.

Your 2 bar SO is not such. The 2nd bar however, is a SO on it's own(would like to see it close a little higher up its spread but its ok in that scenario)

Very nice. Better SL placement. Better still is 2 pips below the swing low @3739. Dont forget to add in your spread to the 1:1.

Nice post. I carry out a similar process when I have a failed trade. I dont find it easy going over stuff I had got wrong. Sometimes I find myself thinking I got it right and the charts are wrong
but then I come to my senses
