Hi TCO, 100pips keeps the positions open until they hit S/L or TP but will not take any positions in the opposite direction until one or the other has happened. I would like to do something different with your EA, when the D1 MACD has a colour ...

Are you keeping the computer on and have the program running at all times? Yes Is the Expert advisor on? Yes Are you switching between different accounts on the same MT4? No. You need to do some troubleshooting. IMO, it's not the EA. I do have many ...

No 6 hours. "Khaled, I have a feeling that the EA I am using (the first one that needs MACD3SS in the indicators folder) may have a bug with regard to the time delay. I have a EUR/USD long open from 8am yesterday and have my time delay at 6 hours, ...

Thanks for the reply Erebus, I prefer this strategy to the EMA's. I was sitting here watching CAD/JPY wondering why it is not adding a 4th sell as D1 MACD is Red, H1 williams O/B (not anymore) then realised it is because the last opened sell was 26 ...

This is a good point and something worth looking into. TCO, I am particularly interested in "1) Close All Open Trades On Opposite Signal - can be turned on or off" If turned on when would the EA close all positions, when the MACD initially changes ...

I too was trading this strategy manually but was missing trades while sleeping and not at the PC. Very pleased with the EA. I am trading with £4300, 9 pairs using 0.01 lots and have made 3% this week. Very pleased with that, not counting my chickens ...

Erebus do you mind if I pick your brains? I understand you have been trading this strategy for a while now, do you prefer the 6 or 12 hour delay? Something I noticed is that when the EA starts to open positions price can keep coming back to that ...

From reading your posts I don't think this strategy fits your personality. Have you tried any others in the "Trading Systems" section of this site?

Are you sure you are not setting your S/L at 16 and not 160 pips and your T/P at 32 instead of 320 pips? Check you open and closed trades, it will take a few seconds to see if this is the case. I am using a 5 digit broker but no need to add an extra ...

thehenryfam, interesting post, I was the one that mentioned trading 3 pairs that tend to trend but maybe it does require using this strategy with more, say 17 pairs. When you mentioned trading with 0.01 lots per $1000, how many pairs are you ...

Claudia, just curious how many pairs you were/are trading. Do you know what % risk you had per pair if you open 8 opsitions per pair? I have decided to go for fewer pairs, Eur/Jpy, Eur/Usd, Gbp/Aud as these tend to trend and risk 5% per pair if 8 ...

Thanks for your reply Erebus. I like the speeding train analogy. Personally I prefer the third screen direction off the D1 MACD (which is also showing a buy) and am trading that on a live account with small trades 0.01. Just watching 4 pairs that ...
