Scrumy has given you good advice in post #11324, and the following one #11325. On the higher time frame charts I've attached an example as I see it of basic PASR on EURNZD. I will be keeping an eye on it next week, it's at the top of the recent ...

The way I see it is you must have room for a decent risk to reward. For example that EURCAD chart I posted recently would only be about 1:1, support is quite close. Thus it's a poor trade, if it had a better reward it'd be worth trying.

Don't worry, I'm a year and a half into following the path and guess where I am? Glad you've realised what I've been trying to tell you. Get that down and then work out your style of trading.

The small retracements, my targets were the first support only maybe 15 pips away and it took forever to get there. As for USDCHF, the blue line showing resistance would have me pausing too. Might be able to get a better entry on a lower time frame.

5min boot camp 11-april-2019 Well here's my go at gold today. Was also watching EURNZD, looking for it to continue the trend or bounce from the high. Only one trade on gold, that I got out early then it hit my TP. EURNZD I missed my entry shown by ...

Went to bed. Will be having another crack at it tonight. That is good work with the smaller time frame trading, just keep that up over the months ahead and you'll be well on your way.

I've saved the top few of strat's volatility list, and I've now added DAX and gold. Still, looks like everyone is waiting on the ECB. I took one loosing trade, and didn't see anything much happening.

I've been starting at the screen for a couple of hours now, doesn't look like there's any direction yet. Maybe after the ECB news. Either way I'm sick of it and packing it in. Can't see myself trading 5 minute charts for a living, it's driving me ...

Well, that's going the opposite direction to my account I use for trading 5 minute charts! EDIT: Trading the smallest lost size I'm down about $20 on the $100 I committed.

Not seeing beyond the candles, but I see the pair as in a range, big boss had a huge down move, boss is currently in a weekly control candle that was also a bearish engulfing bar, and you've already said you can see the price action on the worker. ...

Ok I've attached a couple of charts showing my what I see on USDCAD, from big boss on down. Short version is I'd want to see a break out one way or another before I'd trade it at the moment. It's got no clear direction. Final chart is my annotations ...

GBPNZD 5 min Boot camp 4-april-2019 Called it enough after that last trade. 2.5 hours of the London session and was slightly up until then. Clearly lost concentration and screwed up. Was looking to trade basic PASR, price is clearly in a range and ...

Most of those look acceptable to me, BUT as BTS and darko have said, it's far more important to identify them at support and resistance. Once you take into account boss and big boss, almost none of the ones you've highlighted would be a trade. P.s. ...

Strat says it repeatedly in both threads, the best trades are when the working is turning to the same direction of the trend on the boss and big boss. As a beginner you look for some basic setups like that and take little bites, as you gain ...

Clearly I'm not strat but I see the only really bullish footprint is the massive wick in January. Most of the rest the bullish candles are small compared to the bearish ones, and the wicks are mostly indicisive on both ends. If you've been reading ...

If you're hinting at support, I had it as the bottom of a weekly control candle and at boss support. Also closed above the top of the strat shadow, so I don't really get where I'm going wrong, unless it's the doji, which I read as a rejection of ...
