But amazing how the asian session moved again. A shame that I have to sleep during that time. gbp/aud, aud/usd and eur/aud (counter-trend), gave really nice opportunities on the hourly charts. Maybe next time I just put an order in in one of those ...

I see it the same way. I would like to see a long bpc, which also takes out that 1.448 level, then I will enter.

Well, I look into gbp/chf (first chart) and eur/usd (second chart) H1 timeframe. I hope to get a london open breakout trade (breakout of the red line). haha, I just see, gbp/chf shies away from my red trendline, damn! best regards

I agree, eur/usd, usd/chf, gbp/chf, eur/gbp are now trending... maybe some others too.

I was hesitant on the usdchf, since there was a w1 resistance above our entry point at 1.0370. So I preferred taking the entry on eur/usd.

Sorry, I meant to say that you need two higher lows or two lower highs to draw a trendline

okay, in the chart attached the green trendline shows how I would draw the trendline. Trendlines are showing a trend, so you need two higher (lower) lows to draw the trendline. Again, you always have to think, where is that most obvious point for ...

Yeah, only trade setups with the trend, and if you ever take counter-trend trades, decrease your lot-size drastically.

Looks good to me, that range. Just make sure the bpc also breaks through the 1.6120 level, which has acted as S/R level lately. Otherwise the breakout could reverse on you immediately. but not quite sure which D1 trendline you mean. Could you post a ...

gbp/cad setup — Hi, attached is a gbp/cad d1 chart as an overview and H4 chart as my setup chart. I think we are about to get an in-range trade. on the H1 a 1-2-3 is forming. Nevertheless, I am gonna drop my lot-size significantly, cause this ...

Also drawing trendlines is generally better, cause if you see that price breaks them, then the trend is probably no longer valid. However, if price breaks a SMA, it doesn't really mean much. Always remember, most people just look at S/R's, thus ...

I would say, if they are mixed up search for 2 higher highs and 2 higher lows and draw a trend line from the lows. Then you got the indication where the trend is going. Maybe NM can also share something for that matter. best regards.

Maybe I can answer that, In general it is always good to have a clean setup with the SMA's. However, the smas are just a guide to make it easier for you to see the trends, qualify them, and identify the setup chart. Much more important are S/R ...

Hi, well, as stated a couple of posts above, I also try a strategy of just taking the initial bounce from a trendline. I actually wanted to enter when price reached exactly the trendline and then wait for it to retrace back down a couple of pips on ...

well, I don't have any intraday-trades, at least for the london session. However, I got on almost every pair a setup from H4 to weekly, so I don't think anything is gonna trigger today. oh yeah, I also took a very risky short on usd/chf at the ...

Entering at S/R level in a swing trade — This post relates to swing trading. I know the safest is always to wait for a break of retracement trendline and bpc and so on. However, I think the really aggressive way of entering is also not too ...

oh, I didn't know that micro lots are so bad. If you worry about bad execution with micro lots, then you shouldn't worry. This method doesn't shoot for 10 pips, depending on the timeframe it shoots from 30 to 1000 pips (in rare cases).

well, you can trade mini lots and micro lots. a lot of brokers offer that. Then you can adjust your lot sizes. But I would never reduce my stop sizes. You should always adjust your lot sizes according to your stops, not the other way around. best ...
