you can place a market order in the opposite direction at x pips from where the current price is trading. in my opinion that is acceptable...

volume won't help you much, because forex is not centralized, volume here is relative...i wouldn't rely on volume in forex at all

bagged a nice 80pips from this baby today, closed the position when i saw it reversing rapidly. Didn't expect the reversal, thought it would go down at least 250 pips.

mainly heiken ashi + psar, i ride the trend, and the trend can easily be identified with heiken ashi and psar. . i trade on the 4hr timeframe and higher. nothing shorter than 4H

whenever a stall occurs, i wait and see what happens once the stall ends, and if my system generates a signal i enter. Usually after a stall there will be a downward or upward movement.

i agree. long term trading is the way to go. After playing with small time-frames and different systems, long term trading is the most rewarding

Xaron, form what i can see from your reports, you make a lot of trades/day. Have you tried a strategy that doesn't involve so many trades/day /going on a higher timeframe ? From my experience that is the best way to trade.

1. if you risk only 2% of your account on a position, you can only lose 2% on that position. If you risk more you can lose more. You can't always be right, so there will be times when you will lose. Why not lose a little. now you would say: yes, but ...
