My 2 pips: chart patterns are only one TA tool that a trader should use. Alone, they tell you little, but when combined with deeper analysis and understanding of the PA, they are helpful. They do not fail (patterns are a story that PA is telling you ...

Happy trading to everyone. Hope you all have been trading well this week. I saw the brief discussion on gold and still scratch my head at the notion of the world will returning to the gold standard (only after an asteroid hit, I think). Great trades ...

Thanks fti, that makes sense and certainly explains what we saw today. Just looked at the pairs that I trade and there are some interesting formations/patterns that have formed (which may mean nothing or something -- lol). I am not affraid to admit ...

Yep, the market is not following through. Maybe everyone is waiting for NFP tomorrow morning. The job numbers announced today in the US indicate an easing in job losses, but productivity was at a record pace of over 9%, which means jobs are not ...

Happy trading day to everyone. Some nice PA today so far. I have two long positions in the E/J and am looking for a third soon. Stay focused and be careful. Trichet is still talking. For you CAD traders, Ivey is coming up soon.

You might want to do some research on this topic using google or something like that, and I am sure there are many places on FF to do additional research. There are two general groupings of analysis, fundamental and technical. Start there. Good luck ...

Hi everyone, hope you all had a good day of trading. Thought I would post one of my trades from today. This one is on the $/CAD. Posting is of a 10M chart. Trend line from top of the run held up pretty good later in the run. FYI, the G/$ had been ...

Fana, it would be too difficult to answer your question without much more information on what you are doing. I recommend that you post a chart and we can provide qualified comments with your chart as reference. In addition, posting 1M charts without ...

Hi lilpip, I hope you are having a good weekend. I saw your question re: staying in trades, but also noticed your post on levels in the G/$. They raised a question in my pea-sized brain: are you frustrated about not trading to these levels? That ...

This is not the "trade of the week" for me, but was one from Friday during NY. It was on the E/$. The red candle next to the letter A was the trigger for the trade. I waited for a retracement (I cleared the chart of some of the tech stuff) and ...

Hi -- IMHO, no, not yet. I see signs of a possible pullback in the E/$ but the trend (at least on the Day chart) remains up. A nice pullback here may be needed for a better run at 1.5200 - 1.5400. Again, just my opinion.
