Hi Tex, Yep, this is what I was referring to in my weekend post. These countries are either going to be bailed out (which will be very difficult for the EU and the ECB), or they will leave, which will be a huge problem for the euro. I wonder if ...

Happy trading day to everyone. Glad to see some chatter on the thread today. Markets seem kind of quiet today so maybe the Holiday slowdown is underway. I will be the optimist today and will baby sit my charts for a few more hours. Good trading ...

Fana, and Setebos, you make good points re: EU. My post, however, was meant to explain possible short term and medium term direction (trend change?) for the E/$ and GBP/$. As I develop my trading plans, I will not fight dollar strength, but will ...

Happy weekend to everyone. fti, it does feel like going into battle each day when trading the forex, and for most of us the biggest battle that is the one raging within us. Hope everyone has a relaxing weekend. Just a few notes from my work this ...

Fana, I don't mean to jump in front of fti here, but you might want to trade using a demo account until you get a handle on your problem. Is your problem mental, technical, or something else? Not sure anyone can give you advice on what to do next, ...

You will want to check the newer thread titled TAF BAsed Trade Discussion (I think) for pictures and charts. That one was opened several months ago to accomodate discussion on specific trades, what went right, what went wrong, etc. Hope that helps. ...

Hi M-H, Yep, I just squared both of mine, too. Would like to see a nice pull back now but not sure we'll get it. My charts have been acting up today so it may be a signal for a higher authority to stop, but I will plug on ahead. As I type this the ...

Squared the CAD trade with a 7 pip loss, but am very positive with short positions in the GBP and EUR. Will add to the GBP position if the pull back pulls back a bit more. Hope everyone is trading today.

Big FA coming up in just over an hour. I just opened a short position on the $/CAD and will see where we go from here. Hope you are all trading well. Fresh coffee, some Christmas music playing in the background, but too cold to wander outside for ...

I use fib numbers (as described by arto, but on the 1H chart), fib retracements (382, 500, 628, 786) and fib extensions (-27, -618, -786 and -1.27). The "trick" is to find which one is best on each currency pair you trade.

OK, I am done for the day. I took a long position on the NZD/$ just before the FA, but am too tired to sit with it to see how far it goes. I will protect the entry plus 20 and just let it go. fti, again sorry about your friend and hope you are ok. ...

I have a 1H trendline that it has just hooked back in to, so I will protect the entry for now. This move hit a fib extension and bounced, so I would double up on a break now. Waiting and filled with hope! Edit: flat Edit2: Short the $/CAD now at ...

Yep, I took a short position on the Euro at .4732 and am wondering what to think of it now. Agree that it seems thin.

President Obama announced a jobs creating plan yesterday, using $200B in TARP funds. His TARP fund watchdog just announced that the funds can not be used in this way. Just a(nother) small mistake.

It is official. President Obama has the lowest approval rating of any US president at the eleventh month into their first term: 47% and falling. So much for hope and change. Reality sets in with a thud.
