Well, I guess "you have a dream". But politics is the art of the possible. Spare a thought for us that live in reality.

May well be, but I think you said it on a few occasions this week. Ceterum censeo 1.34 will be broken.

I guess you are a Brexiter... Just out of curiosity, what kind of ending do you want? There are three realistic options: 1) deal is concluded now (but with level-playing field arrangements, as EU would not have it otherwise); 2) no deal is concluded ...

On the sidelines for the time being, but as a bear, would really like to see a strong push to 1.35, as unlikely as it looks at the moment. We all know GU has an unfinished business at 1.35, and GU is usually good at reaching exactly those levels ...

By the way, on Brexit. I remember seeing a one-year forecast by biggest investment banks, at the start of 2020. Goldman Sachs had it at 1.37. Barclays at 1.17. Guess what, they may be both about right, with a couple of weeks difference.

I think it is exactly why it strengthened against both USD and EUR in the last 6 months. It may also go up further. But every institution in City knows that Brexit will be hugely damaging. I have not seen a finance professional here in London that ...

Agree, it does feel as if only some big news can kick us out of 1.334-1.34 range.

Low liquidity today, do European traders also celebrate Thanksgiving?

Yes, they would love EU walk away from negotiations. But they would blame EU in any circumstances.

Why not cash it out? Political headwind is huge, all of these positions can be wiped out if UK-EU talks break down. url Seriously, we are just 25 pips off big resistance, you can re-enter higher if it breaks.

Could you expand? From what I see, rates are low for both, with BoE maybe more tolerant towards negative rates. Both will have to support economy and increased government spending, with FOMC maybe buying more for now, but with UK deficit of 20% GDP ...

You are trying to pick up bottom of a strong move at a relatively high price. Maybe it works for you, but I have to say it almost never worked for me.

So we finish near high, but with 1.34 still not even tested. And this is on the day when we had some bad news for UK. Not quite sure what this means for tomorrow. I guess bulls would like to run to 1.35, but time is running out for them to do this. ...

More/less quantitative easing. Gloomier/happier view of economy. I guess it should not be that big, but we don't know what market expects and whether it will be happy/disappointed. Buy the way, it really looks like we will have no-deal, or at least ...

It can go either way today. It's FOMC, and market can drop USD like mad, or drop everything else like mad. If I had to bet, I would bet with GU bears, but the thing is, I don't have to bet and I am happy to stay away for the time being. By the way, ...

In the news today: City is set to lose European derivative trading -- not much reaction from the market. UK deficit for 2021 is 20% of GDP -- not important. Negative Brexit news -- market does not care either. Tells me two things: 1) PA is bullish ...
