Took a 14 pip loss on a short cad trade, but re-entered the short and up 18, so very choppy performance for me today. Taking my tiny profit here and back to waiting.

OK, just entered 1/2 position on a short of the GBP/$ at 1.5962 and protecting the entry ahead of the FA. This may be a very short ride. Edit: flat

Am flat on the aud trade (sheesh that thing is slow) and am protecting my entry on the CAD (may just take profits here). Slow day so far. Edit: square on the cad with 11 pips, waiting for the FA in 18 mins.

Focusing on the aud and cad now. Let's see if a trade makes sense on these two pairs.

Happy trading day everyone. I dozed through London open and am not alert and ready for anything. Fresh coffee and some very cold fresh air outside. My focus is now on the GBP and E/J, but that could change quickly (come on CAD). Staying focused now.

Hi auxesis, that is the way I was looking at it, too. And, kind of thought the overall picture looked Head and Shoulder'ish. Once a pulse is confirmed, I just trade the retraces until they stop working.

fti, you are a trading machine - lol. I, however, must rest. Night everyone.

I think fti has been up the longest, but I have been up for 17 hours so far. Time to shut off the charts, and agree that mental readiness is key. Thanks lilpip.

I was going to take this evening off, but it looks like there is some movement here, so will sit with the charts for a bit. Let's see if it will give a few pullbacks for better entry.

Not the CIA I am worried about. The border patrol at the Seattle airport just arrested an US war correspondant (who has been imbedded with US troops in Iraq and Afganistan) for not telling them how much money he makes. That question is a violation ...

LOL! I would do it too if you do it first - LOL. Unfortunately, we would be kicked off FF, maybe for bad taste? Just read an article that says these new scanning machines are a violation of child porn laws in the US.

This is another problem for our young president. There will be a very angry backlash (already started) to this one. Why not just profile the terrorists and leave the naughty pictures to Playboy? Why not have the intellegence agencies share ...

Maybe the markets are waiting for NFP on Friday. If its good, all problems are viewed through that perspective as improving, but if bad, all problems will persist. Not sure.

I see what you are saying, and defer to your expertise. It scares me to think that the forex may be compromised like that. I am short the E/$ at 1.4426 and will kill this if it backs up much from here. Edit: Protecting 4426. fti, thanks for your ...

The only thing keeping the dollar from falling is that Europe, Japan, and GB are in worse shape than we are. It's good to be this lucky -- LOL!

Yes, the government program to give away money to first time home buyers ran out of steam. Add to this, construction spending has fallen off the table, too. That part of the economy is in a depression. Ouch!
