mike w replied Nov 8, 2007Hi Ferozz, I'm looking forward to seeing how this works out for you as I am intrigued by EA trading, but don't know much about it. I hope to learn from your journal about EA trading, moreso than what I already do anyways. Best of luck to you.

mike w replied Nov 8, 2007This is my reasoning for the Eur/Jpy trade. We saw a reversal sign based on price action right on top of a support level and we were close to the bottom of a rising trendline. A+ setup in my eyes.

mike w replied Nov 8, 2007The Eur/Jpy trade has gone almost immediately in my favor. I'll be looking to add to the position as time moves on and I see more ideal setups along the way.

mike w replied Nov 8, 2007Also, MPP. if you want you could post in my journal anytime with any thoughts, questions, or suggestions. This is because I am a fairly forgetful person and I guarantee I will post there, but sometimes would forget to post here as well. On the daily ...

mike w replied Nov 8, 2007Hey MPP, I will, from now on, post anything with a solid candlestick pattern. MPP, if your not already trading using candlesticks, I would suggest you start. These formations that come about basically tell you what everyone thinks of the market at ...

mike w replied Nov 8, 2007I'm taking a trade on the Eur/Jpy based on the 4 hour charts. We are in a rising channel, and close to the bottom of it on the daily and 4 hour charts. I saw a reversal on the dailies for the upside as well as the 4 hour just now. I'll be opening a ...

mike w replied Nov 8, 2007As for the Aus/Nzd trade I talked about last night, it worked out well, and now I think we are going to see a solid bearish pin bar on the dailies today. This could even turn out to become a bearish engulment pattern. You would be trading into ...

mike w replied Nov 8, 2007How lucky am I? Honestly? I changed my take profit level on the Aus/Nzd trade from last night to 1.2020 and I ended with, I do believe, 41 pips. I'll post more trades later in the day as they come by. This would have become a negative trade and was ...

mike w replied Nov 8, 2007I do agree with you 100% on this. America has sort of an entitlement mentality. We, Americans, think that we are entitled to something that we never were in the first place. Americans expect other people to take care of them, even though they dont ...

mike w replied Nov 7, 2007Yep, I understand what you mean. I could see how this effectively gives you A LOT more opportunities for a good trade. That is diversification at its finest. I still have a good way to go before I could think of doing this, but you just gave me a ...

mike w replied Nov 7, 2007You would be trading, according to my charts, right into support. If it passes 1.6950 area, however, it would be a solid trade. This pair is extremly slow though. Bear that in mind. I normally trade this pairs weekly charts as if they are the daily ...

mike w replied Nov 7, 2007Please tell me 2000 was a typo. That's crazy. If it wasn't, this just goes to show how everyone is different in their learning process. If I were to have to look at even 200 charts a day, I would be burnt out after a few months of trading. I feel ...

mike w replied Nov 7, 2007I absolutely love despair.com haha The stuff kills me. On the more serious side, I agree with you that psychology plays one of the largest parts of trading. I never would have thought that when I was starting out, but it is true and I will attest to ...

mike w replied Nov 7, 2007I think your right with that too, but think of this. The manufacturers are always going to want their product to move up in price to get the most out of it. On the other hand, you have to factor in consumers. There needs to be some kind of price ...

mike w replied Nov 7, 2007The other scenario that I've been thinking about people travelling less having an impact is this: While people do travel less, these are times of holidays. Over the holidays, people travel more than any other time of the year. Wouldn't you think ...

mike w replied Nov 7, 2007Here is my basic underlying of oil and a reason why the price tends to drop a little through the duration of the winter months. Most middle class people grew up with the addage in their head, buy it when the price is lower, and most (people that ...

mike w replied Nov 7, 2007This is very true, its pullback time if that candle closes as a pin. As I said before though, Once the retracement happens I'd gladly buy back in. this is because I dont think Ethanol is a good replacement for oil, and I think that because people ...
