So..todays box is set for me: High: 1.6437...with spread Long will be at 1.6440 Low: 1.6395...Short will be 1.6394 Range = 42 hence ok to trade I have been experimenting with a slight variation to my "ride or die to 100 pips" methodology (see my ...

Tam it is for EXACTLY this reason that I shoot for 100 pips each trade and do not move my stop to break even. Of course it means that some days (like Monday) I have the annoying trade that goes +85 and ends up only +3 or indeed, in theory, can go ...

Yesterday tested my patience (and sanity!) to the limit but showed how difficult psychologically trading can be. So as you all know, I have a "ride or die" approach to the breakout shooting for 100 pips and not moving my stoploss to breakeven at any ...

Also Flyer, I think there is a miscalculation above unless you scale out evenly each time. Lets say you are trading 3 "lots" (whatever size that may be). If you scale out 1 lot at 25 and then the trade goes to -25...you have a net LOSS and not B/E. ...

Ive been trading over 10 years and lost a lot of money to get to be able to not be so worried about losses. I only risk 2% on the breakout trades and 1% on my main strat so Im never overleveraged. Mr Kebabs above makes a great point...perhaps use ...

Hi Flyer Can I ask why you are so eager to take something off the table so early? While I appreciate that my "ride or die to 100 pips" isnt for everyone, I do think taking around a fifth of the daily range is probably being too previous. However, if ...

Im not a great believer in back testing but did do a back test going back 1 year. I use an 8 point (5 pips and spread..typically 3 pips) buffer. Todays trade was filled at: Long: 1.6108 SL: 1.6058 TP: 1.6208 This is currently +48 as I post, however ...

My slight variation — I have been using a similar strategy for a while to supplement my main strat. I have a couple of variations which have served me well: 1. I dont filter trades...over time they filter good as well as bad trades...I am ...

See chart attached...trend is down on every higher timeframe, so I look for failure to make a higher high on the 5 min and then pounce. As soon as the randy candle had formed under the 55 SMA I was in. Lets see how it plays out.
