IMO there are just two players to worry about, yourself and the biggest money. Your job is to work out how to think ahead of the biggest money.

Nice posts Dredding. 1% a day is very achieveable, quite often 7 or 8%, they more than cover the losing days if you ensure you stop trading after a loser. Just on my way to have a read of your thread. As for secrets , there are many.

I currently risk between 1 and very occasionally 5 percent per trade dependent on the stoploss size. There are so many variables though, like size of trading capital etc. I cannot imagine I would be as comfortable risking 1% on a million pound ...

Point taken, however I would never trade live until I could demo trade profitably anyway. Trading a demo account with the discipline of treating it like trading a live account is part of the education process also.
