I think HA makes it easier to see the immediate trend. It is useful to keep you in a trade longer if you trail your stop behind the wicks. It just makes everything look a lot smoother without the choppiness of regular candles and you know if HA ...

Thanks. I'm not trading it so much over the summer period which was why I was looking into that other thread but when things start trending again this is a really good way to make some nice money.

Why did you switch back to candles? I find HA very useful.

I haven't traded the system myself but I could answer your question. It looks like a fair enough system. I use stochs with heiken ashi and an ma, seems to be working out ok but still testing. If you decide to try this system out then post your ...

The two longer term stochs don't tend to change that quickly so you could just use a stochs email alert for the shorter stochs when the higher two setup. Search the forum for "stoch crossing". Has email alert too.

I did suggest a few pages ago to take trades only in the direction of a higher timeframe. I'd be interested to know the result. Thanks for taking the time to try it out. I have been working solid so not much time for proper uninterrupted trading.

Thanks but I wouldn't want to trade anything like that, far too much information. VQ looks better today with a trending market.

It's very hard to tell what's going on looking at that mess but if you're used to using it and it makes you pips then good for you.

Making pips is fine, it's your eyesight I'm concerned for ;-) I'm using other indicators as well thanks but it was stated at the start of the thread that it definitely doesn't repaint and it definitely does.

Proof this indicator does sometimes repaint. Audusd gave a sell signal, indicated by the blue price printed on the chart but the indicator itself no longer shows the short signal. Oh dear, not good.

Fair enough, I'm not sure what difference the direction of the two makes but if it works for you. Seems like a lot to be watching. That's a good spread for gbpjpy, who is your broker and what type of account do you have?

Maybe but I think yen pairs tend to be too spiky, unpredictable ups and downs. Also gbpjpy has too high a spread.

Hello, I'm only trading minute 5 and I'm not using that EA, just a simple trailing stop EA which can be found all over the forum.

There was a 54 pip trade just after 8am on eurusd that would have been enough for me thanks. A few little losses and wins for the rest of the day but after a 54 pip gain on the first trade I wouldn't have bothered trading anything else. Eurgbp looks ...

I've been watching today and you may want to try this... Use Heiken Ashi candles and take every trade in every direction with a 20 pip trailing stop loss but close the trade when the first Heiken Ashi candles closes against your trade. If you don't ...
