mike w replied Dec 12, 2007I agree. Everyone, now, is worried about necessities such as housing, food and etc. Whereas just 2 years ago sales for conveniances were through the roof compared to now. On another note, just took off 68 pips on a scalp from the 15 minute.

mike w replied Dec 12, 2007Yep, I think the same way. Any time throughout history that the central banks have made some sort of direct intervention, the markets have gone into a recession or crash. It's going to happen here just like back then. How long will it take? I have ...

mike w replied Dec 12, 2007Agreed. It was a good trade setup. That is no lie and so you shouldn't be discouraged about that- I know I'm not. Noone could have seen that coming. Right now, I am just putting little scalps in here and there until I see any clear direction for ...

mike w replied Dec 12, 2007Historically, I can tell you that any price intervention usually ends badly.

mike w replied Dec 12, 2007I'm not going to lie to you Dagoods. I honestly don't know. The auctions, it seems by the post, could have different variables in dollars being pushed out. I'm clueless.

mike w replied Dec 12, 2007It looks like it wants to hold. Nice. If it does and we get a pin from here on the lower timeframes I may place a small buy order. Note to everyone- if you are unfamiliar with trading the smaller timeframes with success, don't try it. Stick to the ...

mike w replied Dec 12, 2007Based on my system, there is minor support here and then 228.40, and after that we go down to 227.75. My guess is that we will see the 228.40-50 area, but then again maybe not. It's not worth trading just to trade it to me.

mike w replied Dec 12, 2007Yep, there we go down to the 228's.

mike w replied Dec 12, 2007I'd agree with that. Actually it sounds just about perfect to me. Remember though that you have to wait for the close of the bar for it to be validated as a break of support IF it would. If it doesn't, then I'm right on track with you for the 50% ...

mike w replied Dec 12, 2007And see how we are sticking? Stops and limits probably got triggered there and now we made a little bounce. We'll probably stay here another hour or 2 before price goes I don't know where. probably 300.00 next... lol

mike w replied Dec 12, 2007Excellent post M2B. As for round numbers in trading; people are naturally attracted to round numbers. It sounds wierd but it is true. With the fact that people like the round numbers to trade off of, this is why we sometimes see a bounce at such ...

mike w replied Dec 12, 2007I would agree, but I am not too sure of it hitting the last resistance at the 61.8 fib. Gbp/Jpy loves the 50% to reverse at, which is why I would open a sell order there if we would see some type of a reversal pattern.

mike w replied Dec 12, 2007I'm looking to see the down movement now at the end of the day for the Usd/Cad. Price will probably end bearish and if it does, I plan on shorting to at least 1.000 again.

mike w replied Dec 12, 2007Well, I woke up to see madness.. lol Check out Gene's thread if you want the reason as to why we got this surge upwards. Right now, I would looke for 231 to be towards the top. If we would get a reversal at that point, I would probably sell into ...

mike w replied Dec 12, 2007Yikes. I just woke up to being stopped out at +5 on a few of the trades but one of the trades closed out at a negative 77 pips and another for a negative 55. So that's 20 pips plus (minus the swap, which means just about zero profit) plus a negative ...

mike w replied Dec 11, 2007Hey, It's cool! I agree with you on your thoughts though. In the end, we're looking for more downside. I could still see auslancos 5 ema or sma get touched though. I should really try to learn that and implement it into my own strategy for fine ...

mike w replied Dec 11, 2007I could see that as a realistic target. My system would show that as a credible target for a move up IF it would move that high. 226.70 all the way up to there, based on my analysis, is showing resistance. In a few hours time, though, the bears will ...
