If anyone else is looking for something similar then this will help... url You can set an equity value that you do not want to drop below so you can just alter that level as your basket increases in value. It's not an auto trailer but it's the ...

Lol, no wonder this is the busiest thread here. I don't know if the op is around still but maybe you or someone else can help with this? url

Probably because it looks pretty solid. Why not back or forward test it and post your results?

No problem, been around a while but I don't follow as closely as I used to. Once you start making money on a regular basis albeit slowly and steadily rather than thousands at a time then your interest in the forum wanes a little. I still like to ...

- Hugh Briss replied Dec 3, 2011
Fair point, sorry. Some of my systems are on here but not many followers for some reason? Daily charts aren't sexy enough for most I think? Anyway, happy to stick to your thread subject from now on. Still not sure about this pitchfork idea but I'm ...
System - What Da Fork!
- Hugh Briss replied Dec 3, 2011
Well indeed. Also from what I can tell you may as well call this pitchfork trading "arbitary channel trading". If a huge number of traders use this method it may be a good old self fulfilling thing like fibs can be but I'm not convinced. Anyway, ...

Yes but credit to the fella for saying it as it is. He's a losing trader and tells anyone who wants to follow the thread that fact from the start. That has to be better than a lot of posters here who don't make money but still put up their system ...

It's interesting how the vouch system works on FF, a member who admits to being a consistently losing trader has 8 people willing to vouch for them. Vouching for what I wonder? Anyway, looks a really interesting system, would be better with some ...

Maybe consider using the Swiss Army EA or another to close your basketif the cumulative loss gets too great. That way you could also take profit at a set level as well, no need to sit, watch and chew your fingers.

For the information of anyone interested you CAN just take a bunch of trades with the trend and manage them to pull a profit. I know because I have a 1200 pip basket as I write. My method is to use strong s/r on weekly charts and trade bounces with ...
Trading system using relative strength
- Hugh Briss replied Nov 29, 2011
Evidently not and all because of poor risk control. I have a basket over 1200 pips up on daily charts as we speak. I think the idea works fine, just the op's commitment is lacking maybe?

Just read the edit. I was going to say it is touching that daily trendline again so go careful. Enjoy your rest, see you around NY open.

Here's a fresh one. Usdjpy. Only needs a 50 pip stop and should be 200 pips in it if it continues, maybe more?

This works nicely on dailies too, here are some of my current trades. Sorry this is after the event, I just found the thread.

That's interesting, I took a very similar short from a daily chart but I'm targeting a few hundred pips. If 1.32 breaks we could be in for a good drop.

I'm not a coder but would it be possible to set a variable and call it something like "peak pips" being the highest profit in pips achieved? When the actual total pip count reaches a peak, let's say 1000 pips in profit and then the actual pip count ...

I've seen that but I didn't think it did do what I wanted. I'll take another look, it's not obvious how to use it because it says you need one of the top options set about comments or magic numbers for it to work? Could you do me a favour and tell ...
