profitkeeper replied Feb 20, 2016[quote=AntiVi;8766124] What does ZUP stand for? The pattern looks close to a Cypher but the end of it should be lower. It should be at the 78.6 retracement of XC. I have no idea what ZUP stands for. It was written by a Russian (I think). I would ...

profitkeeper replied Feb 19, 2016I thought you might be interested in what a modified ZUP indicator came up with on your trade (Bearish Total 3). It's probably a morphed cypher (slightly different ratios). I have found in the past, when trading harmonic patterns, you have to see ...

profitkeeper replied Feb 19, 2016Hi again, I wondered why you chose the cypher pattern out of all the harmonic patterns out there. Do you draw the cypher by hand or do you use an indicator?

profitkeeper replied Feb 18, 2016Hi AntiVi, Position size and other trade management functions should take into account: pip value, ADR (ave daily range), comfort level (with stop loss), etc. I created a spreadsheet to work with my trade manager EA which helps in consistency across ...

profitkeeper replied Feb 5, 2016Well, I have to disagree with the naysayers. I use Fib retracements for entries and expansions for targets - not always, but when it is appropriate. The "logic" behind it is simple. Some have mentioned natural proportions, and I would add to that - ...
Where is the logic behind applying Fibonacci to trading?

profitkeeper replied Jan 22, 2016I think you're safe. The Devil took all the available spaces in hacker school. Then again He could shut down the power grid in your area before you had a chance to put in a stop loss. Huh, my lights just flickered!!!
The Paradox System

profitkeeper replied Jan 10, 2016I think you are right to be skeptical. You have ony been trading in a raging structure, and that structure will change soon. I have tried several trading methods which have worked well for a month or two, then start to accumulate losses. I'm not ...
How Can I Improve This Technique?

profitkeeper replied Dec 19, 2015I think you are on the right track. As far as withdrawing profits is concerned. I agree that you should as soon as you have some consistency. What I do is withdraw 1/2 of any profit I make for the month. That way the account keeps growing and you ...

profitkeeper replied Dec 12, 2015I used the paid version of "cute" a few years ago. Your chart looks a little strange - maybe it's your box size or reversal. I have not seen a traditional pattern indie for P&F charts for forex, but they are around for stock charts. Stockcharts.com ...

profitkeeper replied Nov 29, 2015The "Center of gravity" indicator is notorious for repainting, and thus voiding the signals after the fact. I would not recommend using it. Back testing will give you totally unrealistic results.

profitkeeper replied Nov 20, 2015I must disagree with roughtrader. I use the 40EMA (on H4) as dynamic support and resistance all the time. True, the bounces do correspond with key levels sometimes, but more often they do not. I can illustrate this if desired.
