Does SNB use leverage to bid? — Something to ponder...... Can SNB use leverage to bid? SNB can use a proxy bank or broker to bid also. Right? Does SNB use any leverage to bid 41billion at 1.2000? If so & using 200:1, SNB only need to spend 0.2 ...

Do you know any brokers with low spread? say 1-1.5 pips on eurchf? I'm now into scalping after Monday Greece results.

I don't think it's going to gap down below 1.2000. SNB works 24/7, so no chance except for broker slippage. Remember the Spanish bank bailout Mon? EURUSD shot up with a 120pips or so, but nothing much on EURCHF. It's easier for EURCHF to go up than ...

Greek Elections... — Now that SNB is over, next to look at what will happen on Monday! I've just got an email from a broker asking clients to significantly trim down EUR positions by tomorrow due to the Greek uncertainty. There may be big ...

Why can't the Swiss follow China's peg of the Yuan to USD? No need to interfere or spend CHF any more to support the floor. Allow a trading band.

I think SNB still under internal pressure to weaken CHF against EUR, but they have to first tackle the hot cash inflows first. SNB's priority to weaken the CHF is still important. Pity Jordan- he's under tremendous pressure. Can he sleep well ...

In the best of my opinion, 1- yes, 30pips, when Asia wakes up & Europe is still asleep. 2- no, for sure not. 3- yes, at best they just mention that they will seriously consider capital controls, but won't impose tomorrow. No given timeframe, but ...

Tomorrow, even if it's a 10pip spike, I'll close 50% of my positions immediately after SNB announcement. (provided they don't announce any surprises). I'll gamble the other 50% till after Greece. Who knows the Greeks will vote for austerity.

Yes - that's a very good idea for SNB to first punish the current inflow by lifting to 1.25 & then hint 1.3 or a higher lift 'as and when SNB feels needed'. Do the lift in stages and verbally lift it in stages. This will definitely reduce inflows. ...

There is absolutely no problem with holding large foreign reserve/GDP ratio. Even if it exceeds 100%, I don't see a problem. It's just like saving money in the bank. The more, the better. For Switzerland, all the inflows are good although it pushes ...

Name those brokers.! or rather, let's name the good brokers.... To be safe, I'm currently having longs with 4 brokers. So if any broker gets unreasonable, I'll transfer funds to the others.

1. Visit url 2. Only a fortune teller can see this. I feel this spike is smaller. About 50pips at most. I think the move will start only on Thu during Asian trading hours.

I agree with you holding our longs as long as possible. We can carry trade in the meantime as there are some few good brokers left for +ve swap. Then, take all opportunity to profit & exit from 'nervous' spikes here & there, then reload again. If we ...

What's the problem with those forex brokers who don't like us holding longs on EURCHF? We buy huge sums, they make money from spread. We hold for long, they make money from swap from a narrower difference from 1% - 0%. What's the problem with these ...
