Don't do that, unless 300 pips down is ok for you. Talks have every chance of collapsing.

It did not move above 1.35 yet, and the deal is not signed yet -- and I don't expect it this week, to be honest. I was actually expecting news / tweet of similar nature, this has been done by Reuters/Bloomberg so many times now. But somehow, after ...

I will be happy with a Brexit deal. But I will believe it when I see it.

Let's see how much the bulls can do here. Dollar is not as week today (actually the pace of dollar selloff somewhat slowed in the last few days), and Brexit hopes were dashed again -- quelle surprise!

It looks as if France will be blocking the deal if Johnson does not meet French demands on fisheries (and he won't). 200 years ago, France organised the continental blocade of the United Kingdom and had to literally fight with other European ...

If bulls are so strong (I see 1.375 is the minimum target now, 1.4 a sure thing), could you please push another 40 pips for me to short? Thank you!

Would be funny if we reach 1.28 before 1.35. Happened before, you know.

Still on the sidelines, want to see another 40-50 pips for bulls before shorting. You can do it.

I keep referring to September 1 which has many similarities with current price action and levels for dollar pairs. We had a breakout and retrace then.

We can get there today, and I rather hope we will. Will make things much more clear. Regarding a deal -- there will be one eventually. But there are no conditions for it now. So either new postponement, or temporary collapse.

Yes, smart money is trying to eliminate the sellers, no disagreement here. This is why few day from possible talks collapse, we are still buying. Does it mean no selloff? Not at all, it may actually mean new highs and then a very quick selloff, ...

The chart cannot possibly say this.
Everyone knows that no deal will trigger huge selling, and so it will trigger huge selling even as a self-fulfilled prophesy. What it does say to me is: 1) we have some Brexit optimism; 2) we have bullish ...Cable Update (GBPUSD)

With a stop loss, you will suffer just the gap, not the whole move up. But yes, if you don't want to gamble on UK politics, then it is better to stay away. Any trade in the next few days is a gamble, in a way.

A deal -- gap up, and 1.36-1.37 on the way before eventual drop. No deal -- big gap down, and 1.29-1.3 in a few days, probably lower. The thing is, I don't see conditions for a deal currently, so I don't have much fear shorting from a high price (of ...

Not with Brexit uncertainty. Negative Brexit news may come any moment and drop the price instantly, I don't want to be on the receiving end of a flash crash.

While I am in the short trade, I want GU to go lower. While I am on the sidelines, I want it to go as high as possible so that I can short. Doublethink at its purest. Now I am on the sidelines, so go bulls go.
