Still... I would split those funds over 2 or 3 brokers so if one of them runs away with the cash or their star trader starts gambling the money in the segregated account and the broker goes bust, I won't lose everything.

This was expected. Corporate tax cuts when the economy didn't need them, wasn't the smartest idea. That money now has to be collected through tariffs and Trump will have to keep blaming China and the world for their unfair trading....

I doubt it. I think they would be happy to quickly move on because not enough evidence for conviction doesn't mean that they didn't do it and if the authorities keep digging deeper who knows what they find.......
