yes, I read that earlier... I think all the major banks are going to take a bit hit. I still think it's self inflicted.. they took on way too much risk.. very irresponsible.

cable well down so far.. i was quite surprised by that weak retail sales earlier this morning. With this and the inflation report yesterday.. does anyone think this will play on traders minds and cause further weakening?

that retail sales was bit OUCH today.. Another sign that the UK economy is at the top! There certainly seems to be a bear sentiment on the pound at the moment.

yeah.. there is a lot of volatility at the moment.. this is often the case towards the end of the year in my experience.

well, I'm certainly not staff. I have a very small account with them as I had some egold a while ago. I have done a withdrawal and it was paid within about 2 hours. I would not recommend them though.. as they are not regulated.

I tried tradethenews a long time ago, I found the market moved, then they gave out the numbers. They may have improved now. Newsstrike was slightly faster.

I love commodities currencies. My favorite is USD/CAD. I shorted loonie at around 1.18 in February whilst oil was around $55/barrel and held it till 1.00. I knew oil was going to appreciate, I just didn't know exactly when, so I just held it.

I liked Jacko's thread mentioned above. It's very simple and goes with the long term trend. I use a similar strategy myself. I like to keep things simple, I often think too many indicators always give u a reason not to trade.
