TEB, It would have to be proven to me that the 200 is any better or worse than any other long term ema. I just don't believe it. That doesn't mean I don't think it will work. I've yet to prove that one way or the other.

Any moving average will appear to be a magnet for price, because you will see price oscillate around it. It's not because traders universally recognize it. It's because a MA is a running average of price and price acts as a magnet to the MA. That ...

I'm not sure what you mean. I used the OSMA indicators that JR posted. My chart looks no different than his chart.

Here is an example, from this morning, of what I'm talking about. EUR/USD opened the 1400 GMT hourly bar (red vertical line) with the Validator higher than the previous bar. However the Early Warning was pointing downward. I know it was because I ...

Question- Do you enter on the open? If so, isn't it possible the Validator bar may be in the proper condition when the candle opens, and not be when it closes? If this is true, it makes it difficult, if not impossible, to do a manual backtest. Thanks ...

I've used it before with mixed results. If you like MA cross systems. I recommend the Cowabunga System. It's on another forum and I don't like to post links on here to other forums. Do A Google for it. You'll find it.

I don't agree with you about DeMarks TD line qualifiers. I have been trading TD lines for years and have not found the qualifiers helpful. I believe they keep you out of more winning trades than they filter bad trades.

I use 5PM ET. That's 2200 GMT, during the Winter. 2100 GMT during the Summer.

The problem I see, is that you are entering on the open. You don't know what color the OSAMA bar will be when that bar closes. When you look back on a chart and it seems to work, the OSAMA color you see, wasn't established when you would have ...

Jr, You have used the term "first", "next" and "after" to describe the same candle. I'm having a very difficult time understanding you. Let me try this. Are these true statements? 1. Enter long on the first open above the three moving averages. 2. ...

I notice that on your entrance (the blue line) the candle was not completely clear of the 100ema. The bottom shadow was under it. Do you consider that an acceptable entrance? Is your rule that the candle must close above/below all the MAs or must be ...

It's just the opposite. If your charts are exactly GMT it's 0900 and 1300. If you are offset by +2 it will be 1100 and 1500.

Hi, I didn't understand your Fib clusters the other day when you posted about them. Here is a 30M chart of EUR/USD. Between which two points would you draw the fib lines to develop the clusters? Thanks.

Kevin, If it works, it's good. Don't worry about Heiken Ashi candles being another indicator. Conventional candles (and bars) are indicators, too. They distort data by showing 4H worth of tick data (or 1H or whatever) on a single vertical. The only ...

Agreed. Not only that, but I question the data in the charts. Why would this 20 pip move have a 96.3% probability on a 4H chart and only a 74.6% likelihood on a 5M chart? How does the market know which chart you have up?
