its like zigzag of at least 8 pips ie : price 1.1450 to have new high price have to reach at least 1.1458... let imagine that price reach 1.1465 the new high will be 1.1465 instead of 1.1450 to get a new low price have to go down at least to 1.1457 ...

i don't have data for G/U sorry , i just follow E/U but i guess for G/U the filter should be 10 for an average of 18 or 20 pips

food for thoughts : since sunday open E/U make 90 moves of at least 8 pips for a total of 1442 pips for these 90 moves (average move is 16 pips ) interesting things is that this average of 16 pips is stable on daily basis since 2004 sunday night ...

as a side note i don't really believe in trends .... the reason is simple my best account performance is the one for counter trend ( 80% are short trades )

after London open if you have trend reversal it happens normally around 9:30 if no trend reversal at 9:30 normally trend will last until 11:30 but if you check carefully like pivot point daily open act as magnet very often .... if not means = very ...
