It pulled back from 153.00 and it is now back within the range between 152.00 an 152.80. I think it is unclear for the moment whether there will be another breakout to the upside.

Despite my doubts GBP/JPY did rally to 151.05 and broke out above it. I think next target may be at 151.80.

150.00 - 149.80 is a strong support, so I too think there will be a retracement, but I am not sure it will rally that high.

The pair is still moving north and broke out above 153.40. I think we may see it rally to 154.00.

Although the pair dropped 151.74 it quickly rebounded from that level and is now testing 152.80. I think that it breaks out above it the pair will reach 153.40.

Many instruments are heavily range-bound during this period, it's not just GBP/JPY. The winter holidays are practically over now, soon everything should return to normal.

As we thought the pair is at least vaguely bearish. There is not enough volatility to open a short, however.

There's no reversal on GBP/JPY yet but the pair is range-bound because of the holidays and I did end up closing my position. It's pointless to wait for it at the moment.
