tdion replied May 14, 2007I will add my two cents on randomness..... I have created a very profitable system that I post live trades on my journal. 12,000+ pips on the EURUSD since 2001 after spreads and closed bar analysis. No losing years.... yada yada yada..... Here's the ...

tdion replied May 14, 2007You can pay to have a company reverse engineer the EA... I forgot the name of the company but I'm sure you can Google it. My concern is the entries on the backtest. Are they making decisions based on closed bars? Do they match the forward test? If ...

tdion replied May 6, 2007Eh-hem... Anti-hedging is gambling under another name. Suppose you follow the instructions and -BLOOP- the market reverses again after your second trade. You stand to re-enter repeatedly, hitting stops time and time again. In fact, the market may ...

tdion replied May 6, 2007Just another thread about nothing. You have the same probability calling a pullback right as you do a divergence. It's just describing the same canundrum that we all face: there is no easy way to make money with forex.

tdion replied May 2, 2007Good work Mikhail. Maybe you can take screen captures of the chart where the entries and exits took place, and Kevin can verify. There is no need for all these people to get excited over nothing. Peace.

tdion replied May 2, 2007Would you draw down 300 pips to get 150? — I've revised the idea. You just open a single lot at every new 50 pip threshhold.... there is no scaling up. Red dots are shorts, green are long. The TP here is 150 pips (you net 122 after spreads, 14 ...

tdion replied May 1, 2007In my journal, I have shown that trading multiple strategies simultaneously can cancel each others drawdown. No system always wins... they will all have losing streaks. I think the key is to have a few strategies winning while a few are drawing down.

tdion replied May 1, 2007The unrealized profit must be 150 pips cumulative of all open positions. Not 150 pips away from the first entry.

tdion replied May 1, 200750 pips is not the target. 50 pips is a threshhold, that after it passes, you will add the next position in the opposite direction at breakeven of the previous entry. You do not double down in the system. Only the first entry is a double-down, the ...

tdion replied May 1, 2007Many backtests are based on unrealistic fills, and show nice equity curves. My fills are all based on VERIFIED entry and exit points. Forward tests are recorded on my journal to create a track-record. As for "human intervention" with EAs... that ...

tdion replied May 1, 2007This is not a martingale system. It does not double down. It hedges based on price action, which puts in a different catagory than grid systems. You will find that as the price moves, many positions will cancel for a net gain of zero. As for ...

tdion replied May 1, 2007My EA breaks even when not profitable.... at least in 6 years of backtests. You can see results on my journal. Does that mean success will continue? Certainly not. But, if an EA breaks even when not profiting, what more can you ask for? Every ...
