EUR/GBP about to take stops out at 0.9000; anyone else going long when that happens?

1050 on S&P being tested, a break will bring further downside to a possible test of 1000, which would make the USD much stronger; but if 1050 can hold then USD should start selling off again. Add that to the NZD rate decision and you'll either get a ...

Wow, I just got back, my buy order actually filled at 0.9085! This pair has been taking quite a beating lately... has the dollar rally begun or is this just another opportunity to buy the dips? Going with US Stocks, the Dow transports double topped ...

For anyone that follows moving averages, the 55, 100 and 200 moving averages all come in around the 0.9225-0.9235 area... so the AUD could very likely test this area again. Also, keep in mind that the USD rarely rallies more than a day at a time; ...

I'm thinking right in the middle there, at 0.9120 and ideally close my NZD short at 0.7450.

Looks like a head and shoulders on the AUD/USD chart; looks like a break brings it down to around the 0.9100 level... I have a buy order set at 0.9120... anyone see anything else?

Cool, thanks for the heads up, I'll do some more research on FXCM UK tonight... I'm currently going through a list of possible brokers and have already weeded several out.

I currently use Forex.com (Gain capital) and like it a lot (aside from the no hedging); But, you can open a Forex.com UK account (I may just transfer my account over)... the thing I don't like is that it costs $40 USD everytime you want to withdraw ...

FXPro UK does really sound good and I was about to sign up last night, but they told me they're not signing up any new accounts for US citizens and instead just concentrating on Euro clients

Thanks for the replies in response to hedging Shahab8 and Patience, do either of you reside in the USA by any chance... and do you know if there are any types of problems I may encounter with opening an account with a non-US broker if I'm a US ...

10,000 could end up proving resistance, that could be bad for the upside... I'd really like to see Dow 10,200-10,300 though next week, then I'd feel really safe to start going USD long.

Dow really looks to be bottoming out and about to break back over 10,000; I think the profit taking may be done for the day and the dollar should sell off again... I say AUD break over 0.9250 and on it's way to 0.9300 again but probably not enough ...

I believe I've read a few people on here that can go long AUD/USD and short AUD/USD at the same time (and are able to carry these as seperate trades)... what broker do you use if you don't mind me asking... I'm using Forex.com (Gain Capital) and am ...

Very good idea about starting the hedge when the other side is in profit; this is what I was going over in my head... so far I've been entering at the same time and just taking the spread on both sides in the chin.

Yeah, I missed it too! I almost caught a GBP/USD short right at 1.6680 (was just about to pull the trigger) but got in a EUR/JPY short instead at 1.3800. The GBP dropped 200 pips quick against the USD and I only mananged 20 pips off EUR/JPY, ah ...

Dow down 50 points off of great earnings from AMZN and MSFT (both stocks up big); and the housing news was good... I'm long AUD right now just under 0.9250 b/c this market is so resilient... but I'm hedging with a short NZD, this strategy is safer ...

7:00 pacific time (my time); so about 1 hour and 20 minutes... we're running higher into this news and could get a very nice pop out of it... new highs for AUD and NZD most likely... Although this will likely happen, I'm staying short NZD for now.
