F**k me those poor sods haven't they suffered enough. My thoughts on days like this-with news like the Euro Interest rate rise+big USD news this afternoon, the big boys are repositioning themselves in light of this new data. And as price has not ...

I'm reviewing Divergence's chart examples of previous easy to spot flag trades, looking at the market as it is now and staying the hell out until i see something I recognise

D4N, Ok I think I see what you mean, in a divergence trade, the price has to go beyond point 2 (in your 1-2-3 example) by over 2 pips, and entry is not taken at the CCI trigger candle being breached. Thanks for the advice, I hadn't got to the post ...

In post 19, Divergence talks about his 3 trade set ups. On the chart example in this post, he uses a chart example of a divergence trade, with 1-2-3 areas mapped out, and the trigger bar entry. Exact same set up on EURUSD this morning I believe? It ...

Was in EurCHF and EURUSD long thanks to divergence, bounce off Support levels and CCI trigger candle highs being breached-have exited at small profit on both as is coming to 'dead zone' period of trading, at least I think it is. I get nervous if in ...

Sorry, that was just bad English. I meant that I didn't like taking the EURUSD trade yesterday as the swing low was 3 or 4 bars away once the CCI buy signal came in. Hence I did not take the trade as I felt too far away from the original change in ...

Agreed Diamond, the 84 level was solid resistance. If the chart had been a bit clearer, with a bit less resistance to the left of the price, I'd have been tempted to let it run longer. As it happened, formed a (wonky)cup and handle and continured ...

Thanks for the feedback Diamond. Know what you mean r.e. trading in congested areas, the thing that swung it for me was the divergence on the 5min chart. I'll always enter on those, especially if with the trend+near S/R levels+is correct time of day ...

haha no, I've no idea why it doesn't work! I tried to trade with the MA onscreen but it just muddles my thinking, means I can't see the wood for the trees etc. Drawback of this method, sometimes the cci signal is a bit delayed, EURGBP 5 min chart is ...

@ Diamond, Am v interested to see your analysis, I've entered before the 1-2-3 completes (at least I think I have) thanks to divergence showing on my 8,2,2 stoch, the trigger going on the cci, and the fact that it's near (well, just under) prev ...

Sorry mannai, didn't see your post. Yes I think the default settings for the CCI 8 historagram are appicable across other pairs. EURUSD is prob the best as it is volatile but also has narrow spreads (usually). As for USDX, take a look at the USCHF ...

EurGBP buy — Apologies, I know this system is just for EURUSD but I use it on other pairs. Missed EurUSD signal as was faffing around. Here is EURGBP buy setup, and exit, for 1:1 RR profit. Price continued higher. Note the blue arrows showing ...

Missed opportunity-GBUSD short — Missed it because I was faffing around. What was that discipline thing again? Divergence on 5 min, big divergence on 15 min and 30 min, against the trend BUT with such strong divergence on 3 timeframes+1 hour ...

GBUSD and EURUSD longs-reflections — So they've both shot up and would have given me about 4 or 5:1 RR. Need to stick to keeping with the trend and trading divergence on 15 min like I'm supposed to.

EURUSD stopped out — That's a record-stopped out already by some news which isn't showing up on any calendar?! Note to self, stay with the trend, don't anticipate the turn of a longterm trend before it's happened. Wait for it, then jump on ...

EURUSD longterm — Price is also at an area of resistance when you look at a daily chart, the lows of 20th and 27th October. Looks like it could drop from here, I'll be watching closely

General EURUSD thoughts-longer term — Showing strong divergence on 4 hour and 1 hour charts, pointing at a move down. Clearly it's against the longterm trend, so if it occurs, timing is everything. Also, price on the selling side is more apt ...

Do as I say, not do as I do-long EURUSD and GBUSD — Strong 15 min divergence on both, and both are trading in resistance areas. Also, for EURUSD, lovely 5 min divergence as well, so this is the stronger trade, especially with EURGBP looking ...
