MBT vs OANDA
-
ReaM replied Oct 26, 2011Open both and trade both and then decide which is better. I strongly recommend to open accounts with at least 5 brokers. I have been with Oanda for over a year and apart from regulations (like leverage and CFTC regs) I think it is my favorite broker.

ReaM replied Oct 24, 2011Very good post, Bleek! I risk 10% per trade on swings (but there are maximum 15 losses a year, they are far apart and the trade is often closed before 10% is reached, only once there were two losses next to each other). I even want to experiment a ...

ReaM replied Oct 24, 2011I am setting up myfxbook (can't get it working, but I'll try a couple of more times). I don't know which acc I will use (I have many). For now I choose this one: VantageFX, start: 500 EUR, EUR, lvg: 500:1. Once I've set up myfxbook, I'll post here ...

ReaM replied Oct 23, 2011Count me in, but I am not going to post my trades here, because of lack of time, but I will post statements end of month (my broker has no other options). I am sure it will take a lot of time, so don't worry about the once a month thing.

ReaM replied Oct 22, 2011I don't have duka account, but with Oanda and Alpari, even if my TP gets pierced, I do usually get slipped and that NOT in my favor. I myself don't know why, I guess the brokers have their little "edge" placed there and making money of it. They ...

ReaM replied Oct 21, 2011It will be more, because you will have to reopen the previous position. That adds slippage (because execution is not instant, while I add, market moves), plus it adds more commissions. Example: I buy 1 lot and hold. I then with another strategy go ...

ReaM replied Oct 21, 2011I have a general question to people: do you think I am dumb not to think of that? Please, don't be offended, but stop freaking posting anything against hedging. That's what I did with Oanda. I had to transport money from one to another all the time ...
LMAX = revolution?!?

ReaM replied Oct 21, 2011Actually, I pay more spread and commissions with broker that does not have hedging, because I would need to close the existing position, then trade one in opposite, then reopen previous. "Hedging" made me switch a broker (it was painful to leave ...
