Quidsey replied Jul 31, 2014Yes, just to clarify my ideas about the overnight range. If the open is in the range and price has been flat on the approach, EMA flat, then I think this should be a 'no trade'. There isn't the direction/momentum so difficult to apply the strategy. ...

Quidsey replied Jul 30, 2014Last 4 trading days look positive, 4 wins if we were looking for +10pips, 12pip SL. 3 of those trades gave a lot lot more. The Mon trade only gave up it's 10pips the following day. Drawdown minimal. image $3000 acct Risk 5% (you've got to go for ...

Quidsey replied Jul 30, 2014Hi Ghadeer, this strategy is in it's infancy, at the moment I'm just proposing a premise so that we might possibly make some regular money, so really we're all learning. Simple way to show you the way I look at it is with a chart, this is just my ...

Quidsey replied Jul 30, 2014Forgot to mention, I was looking into this yesterday. I only looked at the last 40 LO days (I know that's not a lot) but I was finding around 65% of winning trades going to 10pips with a 10pip +spread stop loss. Certainly worth more investigation.

Quidsey replied Jul 29, 2014Hi, I don't think it's a major factor. If you look back through the calendar there really isn't very much red news for EUR at that time. There are plenty of days with none at all, then occasional flash Pmi's, libor, or the SNB can issue a statement ...

Quidsey replied Jul 29, 2014It would be nice to know a bit more about how, whoever wrote this came to his/her conclusions, what market? over how long a period? and what in the analysis is considered a reversal?. I'm not being cynical, the cycles seem to match up pretty much ...

Quidsey replied Jul 29, 2014Nice one. In retrospect I should have taken this, not just because it went where it should have but I had my normal conservative "real money" trading head on, I need to try and take every trade. Been a long time since I traded demo. This was a ...

Quidsey replied Jul 29, 2014Hi Pat, I'll have another look at that thread, didn't get it first time round. I haven't placed a trade this morning which is boring, but there's just no real direction going on at the moment. If price had pushed lower making a break for it I'd have ...
