FXCM offer super fast execution too and tighter costs than what you quoted above. I usually get 0.3-0.7 pip spread on EURUSD and commission of 0.7 pips. But for that tier it requires you to trade 1M per day and have a certain account balance.

Clive don't be disheartened by one loser. Yesterday you took home 21 pips and today the loss was just 0.5. If you quit after one small loss how can you catch the potential wins later on?

You took the same short I did. Did you squeeze a couple of pips out or are you holding for a bit more? Double top forming now maybe.

+5 Very tight that one. Poor decision on my part entering between two levels that were only 10 pips apart.

Oh wow. 0.345 pips total transaction cost! I now see why you turn to futures for scalping! And you sacrifice a further 1 pip to get better fills? Do you scalp a live account every day?

What is that in terms of pips? Sorry I am not familiar with how futures trading works.

Hehehehe "a quick 16 pips" For me 16 pips is long term position trading hahaha. I know you like to go for 1:2 RR trades, which is great. I only want 5-10 pips, never more than 10 per trade. My hit rate is high at this RR so it works well. If I went ...

I've never trades futures and I don't know much about it at all. So somtimes you get no spread at all? What about commission, do you pay that each time you trade?

Low trade cost is crucial to this method. I get 1-1.5 pip total transaction cost per round trip on EURUSD. If it was higher I'd have to rework my method. If we could get 0.5 pip total cost we'd be laughing! Scalping every little bump all day long!

I have no bias. I just look at key levels. So if not for the news I'd be hoping for a move down to 3100 for a buy or a move up to 3163 for a sell. It depends on the strength of the move, the angle, and the obviousness of the price stalling at that ...

No, absolutely no scalping during big news releases for me. It's best to wait and see what happens and trade again after the wind dies down.

Yea the M1 is for sure in a down trend these past 2 hours. 3100 is a really nice level for a potential short term bounce so if not for the upcoming news I'd be looking to buy there if price stalls but for now I must sit on my hands until we see what ...
