tdion replied Nov 25, 2007My two cents here..... H1 data without underlying M1 data COULD give false backtests.... simply because MT4 will drop down to the lowest timeframe for entries and exits..... When you only have H1 data, the backtester won't know where to put the exit ...

tdion replied Nov 23, 2007Nice idea, but where does the 36% come from? Are you trading fulltime to get 36%? Are you scalping (daytrading) or swing trading or both? Are you using fundamentals or TA? Sorry, but the real problem isn't finding a compounding system for growth, ...

tdion replied Nov 18, 2007In your MQ4 code you can add this: if(IsConnected()) Comment("Connected"); else Comment("Not Connected"); That will let you know if the broker's server is communicating w/ your computer. PS) This is the same as you looking at the lower right corner ...

tdion replied Nov 18, 2007Good question. Suppose you are making lots of money with your system, whatever it is. At some point your lot sizes will escalate. From what I hear, I'd rather be putting huge trades into a real market than an artificial one. Plus, I just don't like ...
