Yes! One mistake I made early on was thinking that a higher Q would result in less but better signals. This is not the case as illustrated above. I experimented with M5 chars with Q as high as 750. Even there, DD can happen.

It you start with higher Q values, it will take longer for trades to open if at all. If a cycle does open, it may be of higher range.

I'm thinking there has to be more to it. The EA allows for one Q value for open and a separate one for closing. I have not tested that but it would seem to make sense to enter the desired values there. Perhaps there is a level of discretion ...

Good morning.. Here is my guess from your previous comments. There may be more to it. A: Q goes higher to force positive outcomes. Open with low Q + close with High Q == positive trades

image Ouch! That's some spread! I've spaced my entries about 20 pips away from each other. A 0.01 lot trade of GBP/JPY with a 300 pip stop loss = $30 or 1.3% of my account. Thats not too bad.

Got it. I am entering manually until I am comfortable with the EA. I believe I was one hour early as I was going by FF Tokyo open. In my hurry not to miss the open, I did enter short at 133.095 for 0.01 lots. Monitoring it for now.
