Dow isn't happy today. Powell's farts seem to be quite odiferous! Markets are expecting 3 or 4 interest rate hikes in the future. Great for the markets and wealthy people, but the regular joe has mortgage payments, car, credit cards, loans, blah ...

Great ISM number, market falling so far. I love the news!! Run price up , hit the stops, great news release, more buyers cram in at the top, reverse the market. Classic scheme. Doesn't always play out this way, but it does the majority of the time.

For what it's worth, Greenspan sees the U.S. coming out of a "bond bubble" which he says leads to Stagflation: "persistent high inflation combined with high unemployment and stagnant demand in a country's economy." Hmmmmm....

Besides foreign buying, bond yields also increase when investment flows away from the markets, or as uncertainty in the markets increases. It's seen as a flight to safety, or a place to park your money when out of the stock market!
