This is how I define a trend. Price needs to break a support/resistance which it did. Then price should test the 21EMA or mid BB and reject it. That's when I know we are in a trend. But this downtrend didn't survive too long.

To me this was a very high probability trade from the beginning, not just in hindsight lol. It touched the 4hr support, had trouble getting through it, later on tries it again and gets rejected which forms a very nice pin on the 5m with good div.
