Panco replied Dec 1, 2014This is how risk management is performed. The portfolio manager looks at net currency exposure, the pairs are not important. If there is large short exposure to Euro then the exposure is reduced or hedged.

Panco replied Dec 1, 2014I think EURUSD will be stuck in a range (look 4hr chart) unless there is a firm break above the resistance / support. I might try shorting EURUSD but I do not have an entry yet. Small tp, around +35 pips.

Panco replied Dec 1, 2014I think you are wrong there. Moody's downgraded Japan and pushed safe-haven flows into gold, which forced big short traders to cut down their trades, elevating the price even higher. Short covering in simple words.

Panco replied Dec 1, 2014Japan were downgraded by Moody's and that's when the mess began everywhere. Lucky for me, I was short USDJPY. I was tempted to buy gold but my performance has been very poor in it lately so I let it go.
