      Dorian is going ashore in the Bahamas as an Andrew-strength storm of 160 mph winds--a catastrophe for them. With a lot of luck, no landfall in the US. EDIT Max sustained winds are 180 mph in Sunday 1100 ET update.

      The 1100 ET report shows forward speed has decreased from 13 to 10 mph. This gives more time for the eastward movement of the HP region, which could allow an earlier northward turn of Dorian.
