What I meant is that for equivalent positions SB can lead to greater losses and profits if compared to a "low leveraged" if I may say forex position of 1:100. I guess if you use leverage of 1:400 ...spread betting

I agree with streamline here. I cannot think of any broker that does not react to news releases in some way (widening spreads or slipping). I have to see it to believe it

I suggest you take a look at FF's preferred brokers for example, try the demos, have a chat with the brokers' representatives and ask them what you need to know, don't wait for others to chew it up for you

I believe it is better for most individual traders to use the currency of their country of residence, unless it is an exotic one. It also depends on how your broker revaluetes the results from trading.

Absolutely. Even with a pretty lagre account balance, this kind of leverage can swipe it in no time. 1% is optimal to my oppinion.
