Coinbase details July trading outage after configuration change disrupted operations

As reported by The Block, citing Coinbase, the disruption begins at 12:37 PM ET on July 14 and lasts until about 1:25 PM ET, affecting retail and institutional trading, deposits and withdrawals, Coinbase Card debit transactions, onchain swaps on Base and Solana DEX integrations, and some Prime services. The company says the outage stems from an unintended misconfiguration of a key network component during a routine, "low-risk" configuration change to a shared production Kubernetes cluster.
