Clarity Act ethics talks stall as Trump stance clouds U.S. crypto bill
The Block reports that a July 16 meeting between Trump, White House officials and Republican Senators Bernie Moreno and Cynthia Lummis does not produce a clear agreement on ethics language for the Clarity Act. The measure is designed to regulate the cryptocurrency industry at the federal level, but negotiators from both parties are still debating restrictions on how presidents, vice presidents, members of Congress and other officials can profit from digital assets while in office.
