Vietnam has issued Decree 284/2026, imposing administrative fines of up to 50 million Vietnamese dong ($1,900) on individuals who trade cryptocurrency through unlicensed platforms. The decree, signed on July 16 and effective September 1, marks the first time the country has attached enforcement penalties to its pilot crypto market program.
