Crypto companies have spent $189 million to influence the 2026 U.S. midterm elections so far, making the industry the largest source of corporate political spending in the current election cycle, according to a new report by consumer advocacy group Public Citizen. The findings highlight the sector’s growing political influence as lawmakers continue debating legislation that could reshape the regulation of digital assets in the United States.
