The Bitcoin ($BTC) ecosystem is going through a wider decline amid growing market uncertainty. In the 1st quarter of 2026, institutional $BTC holdings plunged by 17%. As per CoinShares’ latest report, this comes at a time when hedge funds are significantly exiting the market. This increased selling pressure on Bitcoin which recorded 24.6% decline from $87,500 on 1st of January, 2026 to $66,040 on 31st of March 2026. Today, it is trading about $60,870.
