Ex-CFTC Officials Land at MoonPay and Gemini Titan After Overriding Staff on 3 Crypto Approvals
Two former CFTC officials walked out of government and straight into jobs at crypto companies MoonPay and Gemini Titan. The New York Times broke the story, and it’s not pretty. The investigation found that these two officials played a direct role in pushing through regulatory approvals for three cryptocurrency firms — all of them with ties to the Trump administration — despite objections raised internally by CFTC staff.
